Asked often
Low Tide, Washashore and the site itself.
Low Tide
The issues
What is Low Tide?
A free weekly for product leaders. Each issue takes one made thing apart in 4 minutes, finds the part that decides it, names the law behind it, and runs the same law on your product.
What do the issues cover?
Whatever was made and has a bottleneck worth finding: a zipper, an AI chip, an emergency room, a house in Japan. Each one is chosen because its law helps in a product team.
How do you check the facts?
Every claim has a source, every source is archived, and each issue is checked in a separate pass. Corrections are published. Where something isn’t known, the issue says so.
What happened to the long essays?
They stay in the archive, under Earlier essays, as they were published.
The letter
How often does it come?
Every Tuesday. Four minutes to read. Free.
Prints and shirts
Prints and orders
Can I buy a print yet?
Not yet. The store opens with the first prints; the letter announces them before anywhere else.
How are orders handled?
By hand. There is no checkout and no card form; each order is confirmed and sent individually.
Where do prints ship?
Shipping details arrive with the first prints.
Washashore
The members’ side
What is Washashore?
Island English for someone who wasn’t born on the island but arrived and stayed — and the members’ side of this site.
What is behind the door?
The menu and the recipe book, events for the small islanders, prints and island shirts, the Lab, ideas, beliefs and the book draft.
Do I need an account for each part?
No. One house password opens every door.
The site
Privacy and contact
Does the site track me?
No. There are no analytics, no ads and no tracking cookies.
Is anything sold here?
Not today. It is a personal, non-commercial website and no payment is accepted.
How do I get in touch?
A proper contact channel opens later; until then there is no mailbox behind the contact page. Meanwhile, the letter.
